Full sun, Zone 4
Prunus armeniaca 'Harlayne'
Pot size #2 (1.5-3' whip)
Producing sweet freestone fruit, Harlayne is a delightful apricot to add to your collection. Fruit is best suited for fresh eating, canning, or preserving. It will also last 2-3 weeks in cold storage. Though cold-hardy, Harlayne is a bit borderline for our Alberta climate (hardy to -30 degrees), so it requires a more sheltered location and would do better in a warmer micro-climate. As such this variety is not recommended for novice orchardists.
Requires a second apricot (different variety) for cross-pollination. Varieties such as Casino, Manchurian, Debbie's Gold, Westcot, Arctic Dawn, and Goldcot would be suitable partners.
15' tall x 12' wide
