TikTok video from Acorn Moon Mercantile (@acornmoonmercantile): “I’m so pleased to bring back this annual offering of my Samhain ritual tea called Artemis’ Moon Tea. Artemis is goddess of the moon, wild things, and the queen of witches. She is also the namesake of Mugwort, Artemisia vulgaris. This tea starts with wild Mugwort, but over the years I’ve come to learn to pair Rose with Mugwort. I heard a message one day in my mind, “Add Rose. Mugwort needs Rose to soften its edges.” All the going deep that Mugwort brings needs to be balanced by the love that Rose brings. They needed each other to do what it is they’ll do this season. After all, truth is best when wrapped in love. This is a tea that calms the body and the mind. It prepares us for rest, ritual, divination, and dream work. Mugwort is a dark and beautiful plant that quiets the noise so we can be present for meditative and magick work. It’s traditionally been used for divination and dreamwork. Wild Goldenrod and Cinnamon were added for their help with easing inflammation and stress, while bringing a sweetness to the Mugwort. Cinnamon offers consecration, while Goldenrod aids in divination. This year, I’ve excitedly replaced the dried Cherries with dried Rowan berry! Rowan, beloved by the Goddess and the Fae and known as The Witch’s Tree, is a strong protector. An infamous protector actually, that also eases inflammation. Homegrown Calendula blooms bring healing to the mix. It finds the hidden and brings it out to be moved along and healed. Clementine was added for some joyful energy and flavor, while Hops offers a balanced bitterness. Hops have been used to bring a restful mind, wonderful for moments of ritual and meditation. Magically, Hops, with a strong connection to the underworld, have been used to banish negativity and nightmares. Artemis’ Moon Tea will be available individually this year for all you fans of this short-lived offering. The update will be Tuesday October 24th at noon EST. . . . #samhain #samhainblessings #samhainiscoming #samhainritual #samhainaltar #witchlife #witchaesthetic #greenwitch #forestwitch #witchshop #witchcore #wheeloftheyear #witchyways #artemis #moontea #ritualtea #rowanberry #mugwort #teawitch #divinationtools”.
