Marks & Spencer will replace use-by dates with best-before labels on its own-brand fresh milk lines, including organic, in an effort to reduce food waste. M&S said milk quality and shelf life have improved, making the switch safe. Most major UK supermarkets have changed date labelling on fruit and vegetables over the past two years.
